Teenagers, by their nature, have powerful emotions. When they’re happy, they tend to be very happy; when they’re upset, they can become totally overwhelmed by their distress. This means that when 10to20s hit a bump in the road—such as having a fight with a friend, getting cut from a team, or going through a breakup—they can, at least for a little while, feel like they’ve come up against an insurmountable challenge.
